Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the terms and conditions ("Agreement") for A Beacon of Light and Hope, operated by Sophie Eden ("A Beacon of Light and Hope", "I," "me," or "my"). This Agreement governs your use of the services provided by Sophie Eden at A Beacon of Light and Hope, including but not limited to tarot readings and related services. By using my services, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you should not use my services.

1. Eligibility

You represent and warrant that you are using our services for your own personal use and that all information that you provide is true, accurate, and complete. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to ensure that the information you provide is up-to-date and accurate.

To use my services, you must be at least 18 years of age. By using my services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement. I reserve the right to terminate any account or discontinue any services if you do not meet eligibility requirements or for any reason at any time. I may, but have no obligation to remove accounts or discontinue any service that I determine in my sole discretion are unlawful, violates any party's intellectual property or these Terms and Conditions. 

2. User Responsibility 

My services consist of tarot readings and other related metaphysical services provided by Sophie Eden at A Beacon of Light and Hope. Tarot readings are provided for entertainment purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and should not be relied upon as such. I make no representations or warranties that (i) the service will meet your specific requirements, (ii) the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, (iii) the results that may be obtained from the use of the service will be accurate or reliable, (iv) the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you through the service will meet your expectations, and (v) any errors in the Service will be corrected. 

To use certain features or to maximize your experience, you may be required or choose to create an account and provide log-in credentials, such as a username and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, username, and any other security information related to your account. You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for any decisions or actions that you take based on the information provided during a tarot reading. It is your responsibility to act in a manner that is consistent with all laws and regulations and in accordance with the Terms of Conditions. Sophie Eden or A Beacon of Light and Hope is not responsible for any decisions or actions that you take, and is not liable for any damages or losses that may result.

You acknowledge and agree that you are not to impersonate any person and are obligated to represent yourself truthfully and accurately. If you purchase a tarot reading that explicitly involves a third-party, you are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent. If any tarot reading provides information about a third party, you are responsible for verifying the accuracy of that information and for obtaining any necessary consent from the third party before sharing or acting upon that information. You agree to indemnify and hold Sophie Eden or A Beacon of Light and Hope harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of your failure to obtain such consent or your sharing or use of the information provided during the tarot reading.

3. Copyright and Use of Information

All content provided by A Beacon of Light and Hope or its suppliers or licensors, including but not limited to text, images, graphics, and logos, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You acknowledge and agree that A Beacon of Light and Hope owns all right, title, and interest in and to the content and information provided during a tarot reading.

You may use the information provided during a tarot reading for your personal use only, and you may not share or distribute such information without the prior consent of A Beacon of Light and Hope. Downloading, printing, copying, distributing or otherwise using materials for commercial purposes, including commercial publication, sale or personal gain, is expressly prohibited. You acknowledge and agree that any unauthorized use of my content or information may result in legal action.

4. Payment and Refunds

All payments for tarot readings and related services must be made in advance. I accept payment by credit card or other means as may be specified on my website. No refunds will be issued once a tarot reading has been provided. All sales of digital products and other downloadable materials are final and non-refundable. Upon purchase of a digital product, you will have immediate access to the product, and no refunds will be issued. I do not accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

You use my service at your own sole risk. My services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I make no representations or warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of title, quality, performance, suitability, fitness for a particular purpose, and the accuracy, content, materials or products included in my services. 

A Beacon of Light and Hope reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any service, at any time, without prior notice. You agree that A Beacon of Light and Hope shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of any service.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Sophie Eden, A Beacon of Light and Hope or any of its employees or affiliates be liable for any errors or omissions, including but not limited to, the inaccuracy of content, or for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages or losses that you or any third party may incur arising out of or in any way connected with the use of my services or with the delay or inability to use my services, or for any information, products, and services obtained through my services, or otherwise arising out of the use of my services, whether based on contract, tort, strict liability, negligence, warranty or otherwise, even if A Beacon of Light and Hope or Sophie Eden has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

You acknowledge and agree that Sophie Eden, A Beacon of Light and Hope or any of its employees or affiliates are not liable, and you agree not to seek to hold them liable for the conduct of third parties, and that the risk of injury or loss from such third parties rests entirely with you. 

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold A Beacon of Light and Hope and its affiliates, officers, agents, employees, and partners harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of my services, your violation of this Agreement, or your violation of any rights of another.

8. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be brought in the courts of Ontario, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

9. Emotional Distress

You acknowledge that tarot readings may be emotional or upsetting, and that they may raise sensitive or difficult issues. Sophie Eden (A Beacon of Light and Hope) is not responsible for any emotional distress or psychological harm that may result from a tarot reading, and is not liable for any damages or losses that may result.

If you are experiencing emotional distress or psychological harm as a result of a tarot reading, it is important to seek professional help. If you are thinking of self-harm, suicide or feel you may be a danger to yourself or others, or if you have any other medical emergency please immediately notify the police or medical services in your area.

10. Remote Readings

All tarot readings provided by Sophie Eden at A Beacon of Light and Hope are done remotely, either by phone, video call, or other electronic means. By requesting a remote reading, you acknowledge that you have access to the necessary technology and equipment to participate in the remote reading.

You further acknowledge and agree that there are risks associated with remote readings, including but not limited to technical difficulties and interruptions in service. A Beacon of Light and Hope is not responsible for any technical difficulties or interruptions that may occur during a remote reading, and is not liable for any damages or losses that may result.

Sophie Eden (A Beacon of Light and Hope) takes measures to protect the privacy and confidentiality of all remote readings, including the use of secure communication channels and encryption technologies. However, you acknowledge and agree that there are inherent risks associated with electronic communications, and A Beacon of Light and Hope cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted during a remote reading.

11. Disclosure of Information

A Beacon of Light and Hope may disclose your information, including personal data, as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or property, or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on us.

We may also disclose your information in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the new entity to comply with these terms and conditions with respect to your personal information.

A Beacon of Light and Hope may disclose your information if I reasonably believe that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal process (such as a court order, subpoena, search warrant, etc.) or other legal requirement of any governmental authority; would potentially mitigate A Beacon of Light and Hope's liability in an actual or potential lawsuit;  is necessary or appropriate to protect A Beacon of Light and Hope's rights or property, or the rights or property of any person or entity; is necessary or appropriate to enforce this Agreement (including, but not limited to, ensuring payment), or is necessary to deter illegal behavior (including, but not limited to, fraud), or is necessary because someone may be in danger.

I take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse, and I will not sell or rent your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes without your consent.

12. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

A Beacon of Light and Hope reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice. Your continued use of my services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms and conditions.

It is your responsibility to regularly review the terms and conditions for any updates or changes. If you do not agree to the new terms and conditions, you should discontinue your use of my services.

13. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and A Beacon of Light and Hope with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and A Beacon of Light and Hope with respect to such subject matter. 

By using my services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms and Conditions.
